UMB RANKED 3RD ON NATIONAL KBMI FROM KEMENDIKBUD

In order to encourage the growth of young entrepreneurs in higher education, the Ministry of Education and Culture (Kemendikbud) carries out the Kegiatan Bisnis Manajemen Indonesia(KBMI) annually which attended by various students from all over Indonesia.

In the current pandemic situation the event was still held, through a webinar held on September 8, 2020 using the zoom application.

The development of the character of young entrepreneurs is aimed at developing or pioneering businesses owned on their own. A total of 7 teams of Universitas Mercu Buana students won the Indonesian Student Business Activity Program (KBMI) were awarded grants as capital for their business development from the Ministry of Education and Culture.

This event was attended by the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs - Dr. Yuli Harwani, MM, Head of the UMB Entrepreneurship Development Center - Dr. Wachyu Hari Haji, UMB's Director of Learning - Dr. Rina Astini, MM, UMB's Director of Student Affairs - Danto Sukmajati, Ph.D, vice dean, head of study program, supervisor and student lecturers.

"KBMI is an annual activity by the Ministry of Education and Culture, Universitas Mercu Buana was choosen to be ranked 3rd National for KBMI activities", said Wachyu Hari Haji.

Universitas Mercu Buana is proud of the achievements of its students who have an entrepreneurial spirit. The total grant funds obtained was Rp. 114,500,000.

"In the midst of a situation like this, it is very rewarding that UMB students can still create extraordinary ideas and the relationship between the lecturers is still well-established as it has been reported that initially there were 86 proposals submitted then 20 were selected so that 10 were evaluated and 7 teams passed at the selection stage," Yuli Harwani explained.

The following are the names of students who passed the 2020 KBMI: 1. Adi Kurniawan. With the his business, Siomay Pelangi Yummy from the Advertising and Marketing Communications study program has won a total grant of IDR 12,000,000 2. M.Erwin Ferdiansyah. With the business name Sate Gambal Genah from the Management study program, won a total grant of Rp. 18,000,000 3. Mohamad Hasbih. With the business name Travalal.com from the Management study program, has won a total grant of IDR 18,000,000 4. Chairunnisa. With the business name Bongsang from the Management Psychology study program, has won a total grant of IDR 15,000,000 5. Iwanda Ferandy. With the business name Tokowadah from the Civil Engineering study program, has won a total grant of Rp. 18,000,000 6. M. Fachmie Akbar. With the business name MB Porous from the Civil Engineering study program, has won a total grant of IDR 15,500,000 7. Agus Andrianto. With the business name Semangat Djoeang Woodart from the Mechanical Engineering study program, has won a total grant of Rp. 18,000,000.
