In the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic situation, Mercu Buana University still able to hold a Halal Bihalal with its entire academic community. Although it is different from usual which usually is face to face, it was held by live online broadcast through the UMB’s Public Relations YouTube channel on June 17, 2020.
The Halal Bihalal titled "Maintaining the Spirit of Ramadan in the New Normal Era" presented by Prof. Dr. Ngadino Surip – UMB’s Rector and Dr. Ahmad Rojali Jawwab, Lc - ICMI Orsat Cairo, Egypt whom brought tausiyah in the event. The live broadcast was carried out at the Broadcasting Studio, Multimedia Building, assisted by the crew from the FIKOM Lab and the Bureau of Public Relations.
In his tausiyah, Ahmad Rojali Jawwab conveyed, in the context of worship, not only prayer and fasting but working hard, working smartly and working thoroughly is also a form worship in order to maintain the spirit of Ramadan in the new normal era.
As stated by Prof. Ngadino, that after one month of fasting there are values that we can take, such as honesty and sincerity. So, that value will lead us to one goal. This is very important, as the basis of why Mercu Buana during the crisis is still creative, productive and innovative. All activities took place properly utilizing adequate technology.
