Tausiyah Welcomes the Holy Month of Ramadan through the UMB Public Relations Youtube Channel Application

The Covid-19 pandemic that has hit many countries, including Indonesia, has not yet ended for a year. However, we will soon enter the month of Ramadan for the second time in the midst of a pandemic. Even with a pandemic during this month of Ramadan, we all must continue to carry out activities energetically, creatively and productively.

For this reason, Universitas Mercu Buana holds tausiyah to welcome the holy month of Ramadan which is an annual routine activity. It's just that this time it was held virtually via the Youtube application directly at the Multimedia studio (12/04/2021).

This year's Tausiyah raised the theme "The Spirit of Ramadan in the Middle of a Pandemic to Stay Healthy and Productive", which was conveyed by the resource person, Prof. Dr. H. Said Agil Husin Al Munawar, MA (Minister of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia 2001-2004).

Fasting does not become an obstacle for us to be lazy at work. Work also includes worship and worship, it will be rewarded by Allah SWT if it is done with good intentions and while working, you will continue to do good.

Prof. Said Agil said in his tausiyah that, this fasting service will produce pious people. There are many characteristics of pious people mentioned in the Qur'an, namely: a fearful person is never satisfied with his knowledge and continues to study anywhere even to the grave, a person who if he makes a mistake immediately repents to Allah SWT , a person who can distinguish between good and bad. And Allah will also reward those who fear and will erase their sins and mistakes.

"Let us make this Ramadan moment as a strengthening of our faith and piety as well as strengthening our concern for fellow creatures, as many narrations explain that fasting is a special and special worship because it not only forges oneself into individuals who increase in skill but also help. forming oneself into individuals who have social sensitivity, "explained the Rector of UMB - Prof. Ngadino Surip in his speech.
