SOCIALIZATION OF NATIONAL RESEARCH PRIORITY PRIORITIES AND JOURNAL ACHIEVEMENTS
Presentation of the material by the Director of Intellectual Property Management of BRIN - Prof. Dr. Heri Hermansyah, ST., M.Eng., IPU
The Ministry of Research and Technology of National Agency for Research and Innovation (National Research and Innovation Agency) organized the Socialization of the National Research Program, IPR and Journals which was coordinated by the Directorate of Research and Technology, Publications and Domestic Cooperation of Mercu Buana University on 11 December 2020 through the zoom application. The speakers at the event were: Director of Intellectual Property Management of BRIN - Prof. Dr. Heri Hermansyah, ST., M.Eng., IPU and Director of Industrial Technology Development of BRIN - Dr. Hotmatua Daulay, M.Eng., B.Eng.
Director of Research and Technology, Publication and Domestic Cooperation of UMB - Dr. Devi Fitrianah said there were 400 participants consisting of 42 Universities, 17 Colleges, 15 Polytechnics, 8 Institutes and 2 Academies from all around Indonesia. "Hopefully for the national research priorities in the next 5 years it will be even better, there will be more contributions and participation of lecturers, especially from UMB", added Dr. Devi.
Heri Hermansyah explained, several awards in the Directorate of Productive and quality Intellectual Property Management during the Covid -19 pandemic include: Productive IPR awards that have been licensed and commercialized, awards for improving the quality of Indonesian journals (Reputable International Journal Incentives and Quality National Journal Incentives Towards International Indexation Standards), productive IPR awards, selection of high quality scientific articles and awards for Indonesian journals with international reputation. "Hopefully when we continued to be productive, the government will pay attention to and appreciate the productivity of all people participating in the research," concluded Heri.
In advancing science and technology, in order to support the achievement of national development goals based on science and technology, it is necessary to carry out a nationally integrated research. National integrated research needs to be supported by strong and focused research capacities and capacities by synergizing the management and utilization of science and technology resources as outlined in the form of a national research master plan that is in line with national development planning.
