Trisna Adi Saputra from the 2018 class of Management study program qualified in the top 10 with 7th place in the festival arts category

Merpati Putih Pencak Silat UMB recently made achievements at the international level by participating in the Malaysian championship entitled "International Championship Virtual Selangor Martial Art Xtiv 2020".

The event, which was held virtually due to the COVID-19 pandemic, took place on July 1 - 30, 2020. It was attended by 498 participants from 7 countries including: Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei, Thailand, Uzbekistan, Singapore and Timor Leste.

"Because it's held virtually, every participant who took part in the championship is required to make a video and send it to the link that has been provided by the organizing committee via YouTube application." explained the Head of the UMB Merpati Putih Pencak Silat UKM - Waskito.

"Out of the three UMB Pencak Silat Merpati Putih athletes that participated, one person Trisna Adi Saputra from Management study program class of 2018, passed the top 10 in the 7th place, with the category of festival arts," Waskito continued happily.

It took Trisna a month to train before the match. Special training takes the form of maturing individual art movements. "The obstacle I faced while practicing, was finding the place to practice in making videos. Because of the Covid-19 and the lockdown, many places were closed", said Trisna.
