There are also people who are depressed, stressed because of the loss of work due to this pandemic, there is anxiety in a person affected by Covid - 19 who feels like he is being isolated in society so that he loses confidence to become a leader for his own control.

Live, Lead and Believe are three words that represent ourselves in facing various things in life. Live is how we survive the life we live. Lead means how we strive to lead and have complete control over ourselves. Meanwhile, Believe is how we believe that when we feel alive, we can lead and have complete control over ourselves to develop ourselves into better human beings.

In this webinar, the speakers provide different self-leadership perspectives based on their expertise. Some discuss social psychology, industrial psychology, clinical psychology, educational psychology and organizational psychology. We also learn about how to foster self-leadership in individuals. Learning to develop and improve the ability to become a leader in ourselves through psychological aspects, especially in a pandemic situation like today when there are many limitations in carrying out activities.

The importance of self-leadership for an individual to have control over himself, considering that during a pandemic we have to stay at home and do various activities online, which gives us the opportunity to do many things at one time.

These matters are arranged in such a way that the implementation time is not overlapping so that it can still be implemented optimally. Therefore, we need our own ability to set strategies in dealing with it all, especially in terms of time sharing and maximizing performance.

Laila Meiliyandrie Indah Wardani, Ph.D, Chair of the event organizer said that this webinar hopes to foster the concept of self-leadership in each participant, especially during the pandemic and also as a form of realization of the existing Letter of Intent (LoI) so that this collaboration becomes the basis for the approval of the MoU and MoA for both parties.

"This event is also a forum for student organizations on both sides to work together and carry out projects by returning to the concept of Live, Lead and Believe," added Laila.

The enthusiasm of the participants was also very much seen from the 1,691 participants who were from UMB students, UMS students and the general public who came from Indonesia and Malaysia.

Prof. Ngadino Surip, UMB Chancellor said that the number of participants who reached more than 1,000 participants should be given appreciation for its implementation.

"I thank you for the collaboration between the University of Malaysia Sabah and UMB which has been going on for more than 5 years, I hope this webinar can provide great ideas to restore the psychological quality of society during the pandemic and can give the best impression for the progress of the nation", said Ngadino.(author: Priyo Wahyudi / editor: Riko Noviantoro / University Secretariat and Public Relations Bureau / / [email protected] /
