13 UMB students who took part in the Student Exchange Program at multimedia university (MMU)

The Communication Faculty (FIKOM) of UMB sent 13 of its students to Multimedia University (MMU) Malacca, Malaysia in the framework of the Students Exchange Program on February 3-17, 2020. The students sent were Noval Prisma, Nadia Debitasari, Aida Kamila, Shafa Witri, Noeri Afira, Muhammad Akbar, Adiyasa Herdiansah, Selena, Zeintar, Fahmi Akbar, Raini and Elviera. Accompanied by lecturer Engga Probi Endri, S.I.Kom, M.A, Mardhiyah S.I.Kom, M.I.Kom and Haekal Fajri Amrullah, S.I.Kom, M.Comn. This program, which is routine every year, is the result of cooperation between UMB and MMU since last year. And for this year the theme is "Exploring Cultures, Connecting Minds."

Students who take part in this program are actively involved in a series of activities for 17 days, such as: business communication workshops, industrial talk delivered by MMU lecturers, edutrips visiting Malaysian Television Radios (RTM) and Ajinomoto, and cultural performances that feature Indonesian and Malaysian cultural arts.

According to the Dean of FIKOM - Ponco Budi Sulistyo, M.Comn, PhD, this program is of great value to FIKOM UMB and also MMU as an international partner. Dean of the MMU Faculty of Business - Dr. Gerald Goh Guan Gan really appreciates this program.

"With this kind of program, UMB and MMU students interact and exchange knowledge both in the field of communication industry and cultural experience between Indonesia and Malaysia," explained Dr. Gerald.

UMB is actively conducting programs or overseas cooperation both lecturers and students as stipulated in the UMB vision of producing professionals in global competition in 2024.
