ANGGIA, THE 1st WINNER OF WEST JAKARTA GenRe AMBASSADOR 2020

Anggia Putri Fianda Cahyani won First Place GenRe West Jakarta in 2020

Universitas Mercu Buana Psychology student, Anggia Putri Fianda Cahyani won the woman's first place category in the grand final of the 2020 West Jakarta Generasi Berencana (GenRe) competition. The GenRe Ambassador competition is an annual event held by Badan Kependudukan dan Keluarga Berencana Nasional (BKKBN).

This activity was held online and offline, from the quarantine period on 31 August - 12 September, and the final was held on 13 September 2020. With the initial selection of around 60 participants, then cut down to 26 people for the Semi Finalists and 14 people for the final the Finalists (7 pairs of women and men).

This event is a program that creates a figure that can influence adolescents to always live healthy, avoid TRIAD KRR, have a good life plan and become a useful member of society, in addition to being a Peer Educator and Peer Counselor regarding current adolescent problems.

"With the election of the GenRe Ambassador, I hope that I can be a role model or bridge for adolescents to always have a good plan in the future, live a healthy life, and avoid TRIAD KRR (Tiga Ancaman Dasar Kesehatan Reproduksi Remaja) such as Free Sex, Early Marriage, and Drugs", Anggia explained.

Furthermore, according to Anggia, this GenRe Ambassador is the right place to share knowledge with other teenagers and to help her improve her knowledge and public speaking skills also builds relationships.

"What motivates me to participate in this event is I want to be useful for others during my youth and could also improve myself especially during a pandemic like now," said Anggia.

It took 2 weeks to prepare for this competition. "The obstacles I faced, especially during this pandemic, were that the participants really had to comply with health protocols, and also many activities were carried out online, other obstacles were also quarantine schedules and lectures that clashed with one another, and I had to be able to manage all of them." said Anggia.
